I’m Rich Reister. Thank you for visiting!
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I’m a man of many interests. I love history, science, law, entrepreneurship, and politics. I’m a husband, father, lawyer, and entrepreneur. I now live in Plano, Texas. Here’s my story:

Fascinated by the life sciences, I earned a B.S. in Zoology from Texas A&M in 2000. Much like my 3 kids, I love animals!

Interested in the law, in 2004 I earned my J.D. from the Cooley Law School in Michigan, graduating Cum Laude on a 2 year accelerated program. My highest honor was when my graduating class elected me to deliver the Valedictory Address at graduation.

Upon passing the Texas bar exam, I immediately started the Reister Law Firm, focusing on consumer bankruptcy law. Working hard representing individuals and families, my team and I were able to free over 1,000 clients from debt. We fought against predatory banks and lenders. I practiced law for 13 years. Although very rewarding, I also craved to feel the entrepreneurial thrill of scaling a different kind of business.

So in 2016, I shifted gears into entrepreneurship and started HOUNDSBAY with a trusted colleague. Our mission is bring order to life’s voyage by crafting products that organize, protect, and elevate the modern gentleman’s world, such as cedar shoe trees and luxury valet organizers. We hustled and worked hard, earning place #36 on Inc. Magazine’s 2021 list of the Top 250 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Texas. In 2026, I took full control of the company by purchasing 100% of the outstanding shares. Now, the HOUNDSBAY team is creating new tools for the modern gentleman, is building a household name, and is growing faster than ever before.

Politics. I want to serve the United States by representing the interests of the people in the U.S. Congress. I intend to run for Congress when my children are older. I believe that the Federal Government has the power to set smart policies that will greatly improve our lives and bring true equality to all Americans. Run wisely, the Federal Government can help America meet the many challenges of the 21st century, while still respecting the authority of the states granted to them in the Constitution. Please read my policy positions elsewhere on this site.
